By downloading, installing, or using Thoughtline (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these
Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of the service
Thoughtline converts your spoken dictation into written text and helps you organize the
resulting transcripts.
3. Microphone access
Thoughtline requires access to your device's microphone to perform dictation. You may revoke
microphone access at any time in your device settings, but doing so will prevent the App's
core functionality from working.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of everything you dictate into the App. You are responsible for reviewing
transcripts for accuracy before relying on or sharing them.
5. Subscriptions & purchases
Any paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases are billed through the applicable app
store (Apple App Store or Google Play) and are subject to that platform's payment terms.
6. Intellectual property
The App itself, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Sightline Technologies,
LLC. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the App except as permitted by
applicable law.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or
implied, including the accuracy of any transcription, which can be affected by audio quality,
accents, and background noise.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sightline Technologies, LLC shall not be liable for any
indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from transcription errors or your use
of the App.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are
posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of
law principles.
